Nunes is one of the reasons that Comey didn't give a full briefing to the gang of 8? Nunes certainly sounds like he's dirty.

(7,287 posts)It is Nato countries, Eucom, Africacom, Pentagon on one side and Nunes on the other. Russia would probably be happier with the Nunes plan.
Beyond that issue of location of an important facility there could be more. I don't know whether it is is personality, or whether he sees Trump as his chance to get the facility located in the Azores, or something even more ominous.

He set his sights on relocating the Joint Intelligence Analysis Center (JIAC), an intelligence fusion center that Congress approved for construction at U.K. airbase RAF Croughton. The facility would bring together intelligence analysts from U.S. European Command (EUCOM), AFRICOM, and NATO under one roof, fostering a level of collaboration military commanders say is crucial to confronting Russian aggression and Islamic fundamentalism in Africa. (Theyd be working out of a base already brimming with intelligence hardware Croughton is suspected to be the central hub for NSA data funneled back to the United States.)
