(8,514 posts)In front of my husband, who still has a bit of support for 45. His support does have some very big cracks in it because it's harder and harder for him to ignore the Russia thing.
Humiliating 45 isn't enough for me. I want the whole damned administration brought down and I won't be satisfied until Ryan and McConnell and a slew of others brought down too. And I think it's going to happen.

(12,217 posts)It may be that other sites, other writers might have a different take on it, but the claim long lines to get in were certainly backed up by the throngs on the sidewalk.
My hope is that it's yet another whitewash of yet another 45 disaster, but I'm not confident.

(53,993 posts)when they emerged from a security briefing and wouldn't speak. It made me think something really, really big is going to happen very soon. Feinstein, in particular, looked rattled and shocked and she's one of the toughest women around.

(24,259 posts)Looked as rattled and shocked as you say (and I trust your observations), I agree with you that it must be something big going on. Has anything been said about when we might learn more?

(6,122 posts)They looked dazed and a bit out of their element. As if they couldn't figure out WHAT to say, if anything, without letting the cat out of the bag. It was startling in that it seemed so out of character for people who normally seem to have their act together. Disconcerting to see them so rattled, to say the least! They are seasoned politicians who normally are poised and camera ready. They were clearly upset and gobsmacked. I just hope that something breaks open soon because the suspense is killing me and, apparently, lots of others, too!

(24,259 posts)I was surprised that Grassley deferred to Feinstein. It may be an attempt to show that it's non-partisan but it seemed just a bit off to me.
The waiting and not knowing is always the worst but these things sometimes take time. Hopefully it's a fairly quick thing and it's not something swept under the rug or downplayed "for the good of the country" although I think this has grown big and public enough that they really can't.
Whatever it is needs to come out and be dealt with in the open. IMO how we handle it is important to our growth as a nation and our standing in the world.

I thank God for this and hope this continues to prevent Agent Orange and his cabal from destabilizing the country by his racially-driven and greed-driven agenda and the GOP's dismantling of the government.

(6,680 posts)The only thing dump had going for him was his/Scrofulous Steve's belief that the deplorables would be a reliable bulwark enabling them to enact their sh*tty agenda and rule for only 25% of the country. dump thought he could disregard most of us and get reelected.
Now that dumpcare is showing his idiot followers that their idol is actually a heartless bastard who won't help them AVOID DYING from lack of healthcare, even they are finally waking up.
Plus, he's found he can't just make sh*t up anymore and not get called out for it.
He got NOTHIN now.

(13,960 posts)I really don't care if Donald Trump's days are 24 hours of sheer misery that makes the denizens of hell not want to change places with him. What matters is that the GOP is winning, because the billionaires have successfully made Congress march in a goose step lockstep that even Adolph himself would envy. don't give me that Godwin's law nonsense, because of having a presidency run by a man who reads Julius Ebola and let neo-Nazis take over a site founded by Andrew Breitbart, who was a Jew, is not a Nazi thing, nothing is.
We need to focus on making the Republicans lose.. Trump is nothing more than the rodeo clown used to distract a bull from jabbing his horns into the GOP's neck.
