Prediction: Trump will resign within the next three weeks.

Today was probably the worst day of his political life thanks to a German journalist and the German Chancellor. He was humiliated. This week was his worst week. Next week will be worse still. Every week is his worst. This cannot continue.

A runaway train that is not brought under control will crash. He has boxed himself into a corner on his wiretap lies, his unpopular healthcare bill, his unpopular budget, his Muslim ban. There's only one direction on all these things - downhill, and in the meantime he is becoming more isolated, more angry and more paranoid. And when an out-of-control train keeps going downhill, gaining speed, it will crash. That means next week will be worse, and the week after that even worse. I give him three weeks.

I've been known to sometimes use A-One on different stuff, depending on the quality of the meat. I'm sure the Donald eats only the best steaks; not cheap cuts. Cooking them to a near crisp and pouring on ketchup is a sacrilege! To each his/her own in terms of condiments. ( Have you tried blue cheese and pesto together?) Ruining choice cuts of meat by cooking out all the flavor and producing a piece of cardboard , then pouring on ketchup, should be punishable by death!

way to prison, and his family. I don't see it. He is 70. He fights everything to the death, and he is used to bouncing back at the last moment. People don't make major personality changes at that age. He is somewhat demented, which is why he wants to return to the venue he knows and does well, rallies. He obviously has problems, evident in his lack of focus, and repetiveness. Memory. Resignation...only if he's blackmailed or has to for health reasons. He is a timebomb, healthwise. He is obviously stressed. Today, he was grasping to maintain control. Refusing to shake Merkel's hand, after she asked, what a trashy rude person, when she came all of the way.

I wish it were true, but unless putin wants it, and it is in his interest, nah. It would undermine his and his family's interest. He is lining up Kushner to be the next Prez.

If he could work a deal w Pence, so Kushner is named as VP, he might do it in a few years to line Kushner up.

Even though a few tried to distance themselves, any serious investigation is going to reveal an assortment of down ticket repubs who got help, some in the leadership who were clearly aware, etc.

They may throw Trump under the bus and impeach him, but Trump's crazy cabinet will just as likely squeal to avoid jail, so the repubs are desperately trying to get rid of evidence before the inevitable crash.

Nothing would help the GOP more than for Trump to keel over dead and absolve them of a big impeachment investigation.

Her position seemed to be that if Congress can pass a law prohibiting Donald Trump from misusing his office to enrich himself financially, then he’ll either resign the presidency so he can continue his business interests, or they’ll impeach him for breaking that law. But none of what Dianne Feinstein described would require technological hacking. So when she referenced “technical people” who are “working at this,” was she hinting at the people in the intel community digging up his Russian financial connections? Perhaps she was so shaken this week because she’d just learned the extent of what had been dug up.

been better, because the Russia revelations, his low poll numbers, the judges blocking his travel bans, the media have against him, his health care bill is likely to fail, his budget is likely to fail, he can no longer fill a stadium. He has GOP lawmakers openly criticizing him. Nothing is going right for him.

You are right, time and time again, we thought he was out during the campaign, but he stayed because his base stuck with him. Now he is president, and he is still pandering to that base. But by doing that, he will keep on failing. He has surrounded himself by people who have kept him on that path of failure and is now even betraying many of his base. The only conceivable pathway for him is down. He is in a death spiral and there is no way out.

Because everyone claiming she was so somber the other day.... I did not see that AT ALL.
I didn't see it today, either. What she said today was that he will bring himself down- and when pressed she pointed to his family making money off of his presidency. Not the Russia issue. Not the abysmal budget. Not the terrible healthcare. Not the botched meetings with foreign leaders. It came down to money- and she has no way of assuring us that will ever pan out. Don't look to Feinstein thinking a certain facial expression is indicative of anything other than a strong dislike for 45 and the situation our country finds itself in.

I don't think he'll ever resign. His personality is such that, as his mentor taught him, you never admit you made a mistake, you always claim you won (even when you lost), you go after the jugular to ruin those who oppose you, and you never give up.

He won't resign, unless it's after a hearing and he's going to be indicted or impeached, and they make him a deal he can resign instead of go to prison.

I don't see the Republicans ever impeaching him. All most of them care about is money. As long as Trump continues to support their programs and tax cuts, he's useful.

It's very upsetting, but I'm afraid this is the way it is. I don't see him running again, though.

There are cracks in that relationship already. He's stuck his foot in it with the baseless wiretapping claims & the obvious preference for media as intel instead of using the more traditional, reliable intel that's available to him because of his position. Then to force Congress to waste time investigating and (so far) coming up empty - many of even his staunchest supporters in Congress have been forced to make statements they clearly did not want to make refuting his claims.

Plus, to follow up with his disastrous handling of foreign leaders - like Trudeau and now Merkel, why intentionally make inflammatory statements to ALLIES?

Or, that he's potentially shared classified information via tweets (wiretap stuff), in meetings (his "joke" about wiretapping with Merkel and other minor, but, never verified bits of information), etc. It's going to come a time when they can't keep bubble wrapping him and trying to ignore his statements.

I think going in, they were all for supporting his agenda but now since it's being increasingly clear that his erratic (at best) behaviour will lead to further issues and force them to act in a way that protects themselves. At the base of it, they want to maintain their majority and the Dump's poor showing reflects on them - especially those up for re-election in 2018.

He took himself very seriously. He beat out 17 candidates in the primary. He caved to Congress on the budget bill big time today. Who knows tomorrow, we could get a 5 am tweet. Then, against all odds, he won. He cheated. Big deal to us. Not to him, winning is all. We think it's impossible because he is boorish, inhumane, rude, mean, can't talk in complete sentences, can't comprehend, but he keeps on going.

I'm hoping I'm wronger than hell, but i see him fighting til the end or a negotiated deal. We know his family, at least Ivanka and Kushner, and money are the most important thing to him. He probably wouldn't recognize Baron or Tiffany in a crowd. He will protect his money and family. Plus, Bannon wants his war. I suspect that was why trump did a 180 on the draconian budget. Bannon's push, Preibus and Ryan. He wants to keep this job, and get Congress off his back.

I think our side really needs a reality check. We're starting to sound like the Birthers and the tea party people. People are hanging their hopes on Diane Feinstein's face and body language. She is an EIGHTY THREE year old woman who looked totally normal, maybe a bit tired. She looked no different giving that statement than she did this afternoon. Where, once again, people are saying she was giving BIG HINTS about Trump's resignation.

You guys.

Calm down.

Facts only.

F A C T S.

1. Feinstein had a briefing.
2. Afterward, she said she could not discuss any of it because it was confidential.
3. We still do not have a smoking gun to tie Trump directly to Russia.
4. The Republicans are solidly on his side.

There are months and months- if not YEARS- of investigations coming. And while that goes on, he will continue on as 45.

Let's talk about REAL things and what we can do to HELP this situation and offset the damage he's doing. Because, real talk? He's not going anywhere.

Plus, there is always the nuclear option. It backfired on him to get FISA warrants off the page w Obama. However, if necessary he will change the subject and bomb N Korea, which of course, wipes out S Korea too...possibly much more. "What's the point of having nukes if you can't use them?" Whatever happens to Trumpcare -- whether it passes the house or Senate or fails -- Trumpcare will be hugely damaging to Trump and the GOP.

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/--100932

HOWEVER , if Trumpcare passes, the GOP-controlled media is going to go to lengths we have never seen before to blame Trumpcare effects on Democrats and Obama. The one thing we can all do is keep protesting and make sure a majority of Americans realize this is the GOP's plan. The only outcome that strengthens Trump is passing the bill AND blaming it on Obama. I don't think he will do either of those things and we can help prevent him from doing the second.

It's kind of a "Look--it's Haley's Comet!" sort of thing with him. While he's out doing the dumbass thing, tweeting out his early am bullshit, nobody is really paying a lot of attention to the sneaky little things going on in Congress. Yeah, we are all watching the ACA issue, and we all are watching the budget stuff, but there is an awful lot of other stuff going on and it is under the radar because we are all laughing (or screaming) about his outrage du jour.

Once they get a bunch of heinous crap accomplished (cough, cough, Medicare and Social Security dismantled, for instance) they are gonna sober up and realize the off year elections are coming up and the people are pissed off. At that point, the orange anus becomes the surrogate for the Congressional Republicans, and his days become numbered. I look for them to try and "throw him off the island", and I expect he's gonna try and fight back.

I honestly think there's a lot of dirt on him that they will trot out behind closed doors. I also think a deal will be struck that he'll resign and in return he gets to keep his money and they won't prosecute him or his kids. If he fights them, I think he's either gonna have an unfortunate "Heart Attack" down at Mira Viagra, or else go to jail along with some of his kids. I have zero doubt that his party would take him out if they think they are gonna lose seats, and the individuals would certainly be willing if it means they get to keep their own seat.

If the GOP doesn't get him, I think the Russians might because he's uncontrollable.
