The Jets owner is an ambassador for the Trump administration. The Browns owner is a Republican andhis brother is the governor of Tennessee.

But the Steelers owner was an ambassador during the Obama administration. Between 2008 and 2014 the Patriots owner donated better than 204,000 to Democratic PACs and the Falcons owner donated more than 175,000.

The picture isn't as cut and dry as you try to make it seem.

The government didn't shut him down, he wasn't arrested, he just can't find a team that needs him bad enough to take on his baggage. Owners pay attention to large groups of people booing.

His right to protest is the same freedom that gives the teams the right to respond to his protest.

It's just a fact that some people are going to support Democrats and some are going to support Republicans.

I prefer celebrities keep politics separate from performing. when I go to a concert or sporting event - I don't want to lectured about politics, saving the seals, or why I should be driving a Prius. I go to be entertained, not preached to.

Unless Elway had permission from the owner, the endorsement should not have come from the team. If the owner was okay with it - people can factor that in their decision to buy, or not buy, tickets to the games.
