If he goes too soon, Pence and the GOP could get their shit together, and repair their image enough to convince enough voters to stick with them for the next two or four or eight years. I want Democrats to win in 2018, and even more to win in 2020.
I want the stink of Trump, Russia, Trumpcare, golfgate, fiscal irresponsibility, cuts to the needy, etc., to affect every GOP official from Washington DC to my local school board. I want them ALL OUT! I want Democrats to win in 2018, and even more to win in 2020!
The only good thing that has come out of the election is that Democrats (and even the media) seem to have found their mojo. Our recent County Democratic meeting had more people than I've seen in a long time. And this is an off year! We can use this GOP clusterfuck to our advantage. We can show voters how Democrats and liberals actually made America great. I want Democrats to win in 2018, and even more to win in 2020!
I'm off to buy wine and asparagus for dinner. <insert pee pee joke here>

(4,576 posts)I think he'll do tremendous amount of damage that may not be easily repairable, especially if he feels completely cornered. He has no respect for this country and even less respect for human life. So as much as I'd enjoy watching the GOP crash and burn as hard as they all deserve, I want him gone as soon as possible.

(288 posts)And there is zero national crisis at the moment. God forbid something challenging happens. If he resigned tomorrow I'd feel better.

(53,368 posts)I am worried about Bannon's influence. I hope that career defense and intelligence people will be able to steer the boat if something happens.

(448 posts)He's doing far more damage with the smaller EOs and policy rollbacks than with the larger broad strokes. So the longer he stays, the harder it might be to catalog and undo his mess.
