That's the choice right now. I was at a town hall with Manchin last week (he held four - none of West Virginia's Republican members held one). Manchin is vehemently opposed to the Republican heathcare bill - he called it RumpCare!

He was listening carefully in these meetings, answering every question asked without evasion, and had his staff take all other questions in writing so that they could get answers. I talked with him briefly after, and told him "I don't always agree with your choices, but I truly appreciate that you are willing to come and talk to us in person".

Yes, he's on the conservative side for a Democrat. But for now, that's what you are going to get. Jay Rockefeller was replaced by Shelley Moore Capito, the daughter of a former Republican governor who was sent to federal prison for taking bribes. Manchin's likely opponent is Evan Jenkins, a former Democrat who changed parties while in the state senate, prior to a run against 19-term Congressman Nick Rahall.

To all of y'all who want to throw out Joe Manchin on his ear, don't meddle in areas you know nothing about.

That meeting was just for cover, will there be a follow up,and what republiCON answers will he give. He votes with republiCONS at the most critical times.

I have watched him over the years run on Slannity's show to reassure him they he will follow orders and I have wanted to jump through the television and...

Then he runs on MJ and tells Democrats they need to behave and just get along.I don't see the difference.

He votes with us most of time...about 80%. A GOP who will replace him would vote against us 100% of the time. If we take the Senate, we can shut down Trumps judges until the next election...it is in the words of Joe Biden, ' A fucking big deal.'

But words have meaning and when we communicate it is our responsibility to accurately convey our meaning. Not the readers job to accurately interpret them. The meaning of your words clearly convey the opinion that there are no real Democrats on the committee. Regardless of your intention.

I politely suggest you go back and edit it to say you wish all the Democrats on the committee were real Democrats. Were you to do so most here would then agree with you.

Have a nice evening.
