The fever has broken...

America has been a patient in a very serious condition for the last two months. Today, with the Nunes dash to the White House and the Schiff declaration that there was now more than circumstantial evidence, the patient batted her eyes and appeared to be coming out of unconsciousness.

so if you don't have nerves of steel, consider switching the broadcast news off for the duration and just get your information in print, either a digital subscription to one of the decent newspapers left in this country or just reading here and there online, starting with the BBC.

If you do have nerves of steel, join me in a nightly bowl of popcorn. I'm going through a short nutritional yeast binge, makes the popcorn taste cheesy and gives me a lot of B vitamins in the bargain.

about the British Civil Wars and the miserable rule of Oliver Cromwell that got people so disgusted with an incompetent and repressive theocracy that the Restoration (which did most people little good except get rid of the Presbyterians in a lot of the chapels) was done quickly and almost as an afterthought.

A palate cleanser is "Rude Britannia," a series about hundreds of years of scurrilous political art, music, and popular culture that makes me feel like a rank amateur even on sites that haven't had language prissified by the resident SJWs. I can no longer really let fly here.

You Tube is an amazing place and one I've had to rely on heavily since TCM started to suck.

Since the day he was elected (*cough*, *cough*) I have been asserting that once he is unmasked, our new overlords will drop all pretense and kill people openly so we know who's boss. I originally thought it would happen within 30 days, but they are too disorganized and hateful to garner the support they need to pull it off.

I am convinced we will prevail in the long term. But now that the pressure is on them and they are getting cornered, there is going to be some innocent bloodshed.

all he accomplished by his little stunt today was to implicate himself in this madness. Either he's an active participant in the matters being investigated, or he is just a fool who is trying to ingratiate himself with the orange anus by giving him fore warning of the ton of crap that's about to hit him. Either way, not smart.

One hopes.
