of insurance. The number for whom lack of insurance--or INADEQUATE insurance--was an important factor that lead to their deaths is many times higher.

For instance, people who thought they were doing okay, didn't have physical exams for years, so continued with untreated hypertension they didn't know they had until it destroyed their kidneys and damaged their hearts.

I highlighted "inadequate" insurance because many of these people were insured, through typical workplace policies for instance that they helped pay for with every paycheck, but with such high deductibles that coverage never kicked in.
