There have been many calls to block all action by this administration until Russiagate is fully investigated. Many go even further and demand impeachment of Trump now. One petition tries to solve the problem of making Pence POTUS by including him in the impeachment. Unfortunately, that wouldn't solve the problems the sane, rational human beings who are able to have sympathy & empathy have with the governance Repubs insist on pushing on us.

This is the first 4 in the current line:

No — Office — Current officer
1 — Vice President — Mike Pence (R)
2 — Speaker of the House — Paul Ryan (R)
3 — President pro tempore of Senate — Orrin Hatch (R)
4 — Secretary of State — Rex Tillerson (R)

Besides the fact that Ryan is as far right as Pence, it's likely one of the mis-named Freedom Caucus would be elected as the new Speaker.

Without flatly invalidating the presidential election of 2016, and having an unprecedented special election, we're stuck in the Dark Ages until 2020.

Hopefully, the snakeoil kool-aid will be purged by then.
