GOP/trump are in a vice and it's squeezing tighter and tighter...

Trump warned the GOP reps about a "bloodbath" in the next election if they don't pass trumpcare, but he's off in his understanding of the voters. If it doesn't pass, the voters that wanted the much "improved and far more affordable plan" trump promised will be furious. If it does pass and voters across the nation watch on the news numerous grandparents and the elderly, who have no family, being booted out of skilled nursing facilities, nursing homes closing and resulting significant job losses, premiums skyrocketing, insurers refusing to cover even maternity care (without it costing major bucks), etc., the voters will be enraged. Either way, they've screwed themselves going into the next election.

1. They will use Fox News as a proxy to blame..

Obama
Hillary
Democrats
Liberals
It will work for their base, just like it does now.

2. When things go well they credit the Reps...

When they go badly they blame partisan politics.

Most voters only know what they've been told by the propaganda so it won't be as damaging as it should be.

Not passing anything would be the worse for them because that's a clear broken promise.
Sickness and death could be blamed on politics.

3. The greedy GOP cannot imagine a healthcare system that isn't based on

for-profit insurance. They see human beings as profit centers or profit losses. Why are insurance companies allowed to dictate healthcare in this country? The cheapest way to provide comprehensive healthcare for all Americans is to take insurance companies completely out of the picture. Medicare for all from cradle to grave. Paid for with taxes collected by the IRS. Cost spread across a risk pool of 330 million people. Might have to even cut the Dept of Defense budget a bit.

4. Yeah, but you don't understand ... that'd mean, on any given day, there might be SOMEONE ELSE ...

Who 'got more then them (sic)' thanks to that damn liberal soshalism and God Forbid if they ain't REAL WHITE MURKIN FOLK?!?

That'd be intolerable, and Faux would be sure to agitate upon their frustration from noon to night. Nevermind that SOMEDAY they themselves or their family might avail themselves of the immense benefits of such a system ... The problem is that TODAY ... there'd always be a scapegoat, someone to be led to 'hate', SOMEONE 'gettin' over on them' and 'stealing their taxes'.

We're dealing with a country chock-full of knuckle-dragging morons at this point, who can't foresee 5 minutes into the future, let alone 5, 10, 20 years.

It really is astounding to think that somehow, with all the advancements that've been made over the last 200 years, the average person in the USA ... is probably actually fucking DUMBER than the average person 200 years ago. FOR SURE vs. the average person 50 years ago, they are. And it's not even close ...

7. Never fear!

The GOP will likely emerge unscathed, just as they have for all of the crap they've pulled since 2000 at least.

Somehow they will convince their supporters that it's all the fault of Prez O and/or Hillary.
