All sorts of changes have been made in it that have altered the original bill. Some changes were made as late as yesterday. My question is: Has every member who will be voting today actually read the final wording of the bill that will be presented for their vote? My answer, based on past performance of the House of Representatives is: NO!
I believe it is accurate to say that most congressional representatives on the Republican side do not actually care what the bill actually does. Instead, they believe that it accomplishes the goal of ending the ACA, but have no idea what the result of its passage would actually do, in terms of healthcare delivered to the population.
Most will not bother to learn what the bill does, nor do they care. And that is the representation we have in Congress.
It is a travesty!
