FYI: Pelosi Calling Trump A ROOKIE Was Not Feeble, Despite Sanders' Slur On Maddow

Two nights ago Sanders was on Rachel Maddow calling Democrats feeble on what's going on with Health Care. This on the same date that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi called out Trump for making a "Rookie Error". And around the Anniversary of the ACA's passage into law, after the Democratic Party in Congress voted for a bill that was politically risky at the time.

I have posted the link to the transcript of Sanders calling Democrats "feeble" and in context it was a gratuitous slur. He goes from talking about Republicans and McConnell hurting the voters in their own states to an attack on the Democratic Party as a whole. For no reason.

President Trump may be a master dealmaker, but he made a “rookie error” in racing to repeal ObamaCare without first winning GOP support, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday.

“Rookie’s error, Donald Trump,” Pelosi told reporters at the Capitol. “You may be a great negotiator; rookie’s error for bringing this up on a day you clearly are not ready.”

REP. NANCY PELOSI (D-CA), MINORITY LEADER:

They`re scrambling to find a
bill that they can pass on the floor. I don`t know if you want to call
this on Trump`s part a rookie`s error, but you don`t find a day and say
we`re going pass a bill. You build your consensus in your caucus and when
you`re ready, you set the date to bring it to the floor.

Rookie`s error, Donald Trump. You may be a great negotiator, rookie`s
error for bringing up on a day when clearly you`re not ready.

SEN. BERNIE SANDERS:

But you`ve got West Virginia and Kentucky. The rate of uninsured people
has gone way, way down, far fewer people are now uninsured. And you have,
say, in Kentucky, Mitch McConnell advocating and leading the effort to end
the Affordable Care Act. The question is, how does he think he could get
away with in his own state throwing hundreds of thousands of people off
health insurance?

And the reason he thinks he can get away with that – and likely can get
away with it – is there is no opposition. Democratic Party is feeble,
unable to fight back.

And, I think Sanders was referring to the relative power in government in deep red states compared to the Republicans in power in same. I don't think he was calling Democrats individually feeble.

Only lately have a few Dems started to grow spines; for years, as a party, they've been far too easily cowed and willing to roll over for the GOP. So brava for Pelosi and bravo for Schiff and Franken; boo if the party goes back to its old timid ways.

And he has a long, very long, history of making such statements about the Democratic Party as a whole no matter what they were doing or not doing.

for the Independent Sanders. It is a bad habit I wish dearly he would disabuse himself of.
