somebody already said that by the time the vote would be taken - there could have been over 100 Repugs voting no. This talking head said - who wants to put their name on a bill that would cause 24 million Americans to lose their health insurance and others see their premiums go up while protections would be going down.

But Trump and Putin stole it.

Close only counts with horse shoes and hand grenades.

3. They were never close.

They demonized O-care for political gain, straight-up lied to their constituents about what was possible and how much it would cost. There was no way to reconcile what they promised and reality. They can't control the ultra-conservatives in their caucus because they gerrymandered their districts in such an extreme manner that they are beholden to no one, including their own party. And the moderates were not willing to commit political suicide by voting for such a gawd awful bill. So they face planted on this one. Hard. Sucks to be them now. But they broke it so now they own it.
