"Obamacare was passed without even one Republican vote".

For seven years, we heard that mantra.

So, what happens when the Republicans get into power?

They attempt to pass Trumpcare without even one Democratic vote. They fall into the very trap that they said was the problem with Obamacare.

Seven years.

And they learned nothing.

maybe we should thank him for giving us credit in its defeat and remind voters often how we stood up to the Republican MAJORITY and fought to keep ACA for them.

Instead of distancing himself from this horrific bill (and its failure) he embraces it further. He easily could have left Ryan holding the bag.

Not that I'm complaining, of course.

I'd love to see us take the best ideas from the various single payer countries and create a system that's one of, if not the, best in the world for all Americans.

But that is socialism and we can't do that. That is the reason we don't do it. We'd rather the capitalists get massive profits than for people to get affordable health care.

Seven years

And have the voters learned anything?

Hint: If you want good government, democrats need a super-majority.

Try working with the one who got it done last time. That would be Nancy Pelosi. I'm sure she will be glad to show you what it should be and how to get it done.

Obama and Ds pushed "ACA the bill" as very first issue, his first term in office.

Republicans would have never let it in if there was a delay. I remember Republicans telling Obama the economy was so bad, lets wait a year for ACA and just focus on economy. Obama refused to wait.

As it was it took almost Obamas entire first term to complete the roll out for consumers to 'buy the first Obamacare' plans.
