I love how this community has come together. It's a thing of beauty.

I still wish we were scratching each others eyes out debating this.

We really missed a great opportunity to stay divided.

DU members are the best and I have a great appreciation for you all. I've noticed a couple of my favorite posters who have been really hurting since the election seem to have cracked a smile yesterday. That's priceless.

If faces change, our needs do not.

Yesterday, the Republican's dozens of bluffs were called, and That Thing they say they can't stand turned out to be pretty palatable after all. Notice how there was never a vote? They still fear our votes, and very few of them were open about being ayes. The Freedom Caucus? They could have had their repeal in everything but name, but they didn't want it--not because it wasn't cruel enough, but because they know their constituents would crucify them for stealing healthcare.

In previous years, the freaks were eager to sign onto repeal attempt after repeal attempt that stood no chance of becoming law. When the chips are down, when the legislation could become real, they don't want you to know their names.

They control two or three branches of government, and everything they've been saying for a decade has been a lie. That revelation is something we can use, if we act in concert.
