Fox News is a singular force, crafting a searing narrative about whats
happening in the world for millions of viewers, including President Trump.

(2,795 posts)is in real time. And, even though I'm in Colorado and it's been voting blue, Fox news programs are always the number one show being viewed.

(3,040 posts)Alex Jones even apologize for talking about the fake news pizzagate? What is disturbing is that they have their children in the protest. What did they say when the children asked mommy and daddy what is pizzagate?

This House Sold on Goldwater

so I know what's going on here. I was a gung ho KGOPer, until right after that election, when the freedom marches started gathering news coverage, and I couldn't understand why they were setting dogs on these people, why they were blasting them with fire hoses, just cause they wanted to vote.....my parents remained unmoved

(34,087 posts)who dragged me to anti-war and civil rights protests when I was the age of the children in these pictures (or younger)?
(The FBI, who documented my parents' activities in the late 50s and early 60s would certainly have agreed.)
How about me - should social services have investigated me, a lesbian activist for a decade before I dragged my daughter to her first LGBT civil rights march? Since that was a quarter of a century ago, as you might imagine there might have been very strong feelings about LGBT proselytizing among young children.
As much as you might like, it is very dangerous (and a violation of the constitution) to attempt to chill speech based on the viewpoint of that speech.

(1,058 posts)To these people, the lack of evidence IS evidence that there's a cover-up. The "apology" from Alex Jones is further proof to them that someone with influence is covering things up.

(50,562 posts)There DOES need to be a criminal investigation, but not of the people these assholes want investigated.
I want everyone involved in spreading this bullshit theory investigated. I want all the people who arranged that demonstration investigated. I want everyone who went to it investigated. I want all the instigators of this crap to pay damages to the people they harmed. ALL the people they harmed. If it means they wind up living in a washing machine box over a steam grate and standing in a Walmart parking lot with a "will work for food" sign to keep from starving, that's what it means. I want Alex Jones sued into poverty and imprisoned for the rest of his life. And I want to know the extent of the links between the Pizzagate bullshit artists and the Donald Trump campaign. These people attempted to destroy people's lives. They worked to flip the election to Donald Trump. And they need to pay for it. Dearly.
And if there's even the most tenuous link between the Pizzagate crowd and Trump, I want that bastard impeached, convicted, and sent to prison until he fucking DIES, and then I want him buried in an unmarked grave in the prison cemetery. I want his entire corrupt family to be sitting right there next to him in the hoosegow. And I want a RICO conviction to confiscate every bit of land and every building Trump owns. We'll sell that shit and use the proceeds to reimburse the government for all the taxes Trump doesn't pay.
Steal my country, will you?
Warpy
(111,339 posts)Yeah, everybody involved in this one needs jail time. You know they cost that restaurant business along the line, normal people avoid places where stupid people congregate to protest.
As for the stupid people who bought it, I'm only sorry they've already managed to breed. There's a reason the human race aint getting any smarter and they're it.
(I always think it started as an overheard joke, people discussing the latest GOP idiocy du jour, "that's as crazy as saying Hillary Clinton and Podesta ran a pedophile ring out of Comet Ping Pong!" and some fucking idiot passed it along)
