Yea or Nay: Filibuster the Debt Ceiling?

I've seen a lot of posts about doing so recently, so I thought I'd ask.

FWIW I say "Nay". This is just the type of crap the GOP (read Rand Paul) has been doing throughout the Obama administration. It seems like something we don't want hanging around our necks.

7. It depends on what's in it. If they jam in a defund Planned Parenthood provision, filibuster.

If it's just the normal debt ceiling bill, vote for it. It's more likely the "Freedom" caucus will shut down the government so hang a shutdown around the necks of the GOP.

But, yes, it would be better to hang the govt shutdown around their necks than ours. If they can't get things accomplished being in the majority, they look super weak.

If they want to add pork and weird shit let THEM shut down the Government. That will look great. They own the Executive, House, and Senate and shut down their own gov. That would be delicious.

And, if that's the case, filibustering a debt ceiling bill in the Senate won't be an issue. Just sit back and taunt the Freedom Caucus folks about increasing the national debt and the deficit, and don't let them see your mischievous smile.
