(574 posts)The website connected to the chart in the post is anti-Obama. Plus, the chart obviously implies that the deficit increased under Obama.
This thread should be nuked.
U must be looking at a different graph ,,,,,,The graph show that Obama decreased the federal deficit/GDP$ from 10% when he took office to a tad over 2 % . The Largest decrease by any POTUS ever!
Just think where we would be if Obama had not been given The Great GOP~Bush Depression as a starting point

(34,189 posts)As you indicate, the big spike at the beginning of the Obama years was due to the GOP ~ Bush Depression. If the deficit had been the same as at the beginning of the GW Bush years, the chart would have looked more like the Clinton years!

(11 posts)I don't know...I'm not sure the GOP is competent or united enough at this point to do much of anything. After the latest fiasco, you should feel little better about where things stand.
