but I'm not seeing a lot of frustration about it.
To me it looks like the GOP is working hard to bury the Russian connectionand that is going to be what will happen in the senate.
From what we've been hearing, the evidence is overwhelming and it builds each dayI don't understand why these people aren't in jail already!
The guilty parties are traitors to their own country.
It's crazy that something like this can be covered up, even with all the evidence we have been told there is.
I'm dumbfounded.

(4,835 posts)It's a good thing. Right now it doesn't seem like a good thing, but EVERYONE is entitled to due process.
We have the balance of power, we have the 3 branches and we have the two parties and we have the right to vote.
We cannot cheer on the quick removal of an elected official without due process, lest that power be used by the powerful to remove someone legitimate.
We just need to be patient.

(837 posts)if Senate doesn't come through on their investigation, all hell will break lose with Dems in a VERY public way-- not sure what that could look like, since it would mean they would have to step up in some significant way and declare openly that OUR GOV'T HAS CEASED FUNCTIONING ... I think moderate GOPers even know that ... my final hope, really.
I also think the IC institutionalists will not allow that to happen, they will force the issue somehow.
Once again, hope, with no proof. A sad place to be.
