and now for something completely different.....our morning dove has taken over our robin's platform!
We had a robin on that platform having two sets of babies per season for at least 15 years.....and yesterday I saw one of our many nesting morning doves sitting on the platform!!!! We talked about it, kinda laughed saying that the platform might be to small for the dove as it's about 7 by 7 and I think to small for her. So today she's on it again!!! and the robin is giving her the evil eye. I hope she stays. One of our doves was pregnant almost ALL sommer......she had five sets of babies. Five sets of two doves apiece that's ten baby doves from just one dove!!!! Gonna be fun to watch.
