The revelation that White House officials assisted in the disclosure of the intelligence reports which Mr. Nunes then discussed with President Trump is likely to fuel criticism that the intelligence chairman has been too eager to do the bidding of the Trump administration while his committee is supposed to be conducting an independent investigation of Russias meddling in the last presidential election.
Mr. Nunes has also been faulted by his congressional colleagues for sharing the information with President Trump before consulting with other members of the intelligence committee.

(9,064 posts)get the info out right ? Trump knew what they gave him ? Just trying to follow along.

(3,363 posts)So no one would supposedly know where it came from. It makes no sense since the NSC guys could have just handed it directly to Trump down the hall.
Trump probably knew about it ahead of time, which indicates he was involved with orchestrating this charade to try and "vindicate" his stupid "Obama wiretapped me" tweet.

(448 posts)LOL surprise surprise....it's two people they wanted to get rid of...
the new guy, Michael Ellis - connected to Nunes who just started on 3/7
and the guy connected to FLYNN - Ezra Cohen-Watnick.
You would have to be crazy to want to work for this administration. "You, too, could be the next scapegoat [for de Thrumpfurer]" is not what they tell you at the interview.

(15,805 posts)They're like a pratfall comedy act, or an SNL skit, they're the classic bumbling Keystone Kops, and the blooper outtakes from an episode of the World's Dumbest Criminals. Its like they deliberately dropped a map and a To-Do-List at the scene of the crime, then left a trail of breadcrumbs and put up flashing neon arrows pointing to photos of everyone involved.

(53,729 posts)employees have him listen to some secret something or other that apparently indicates Trump was picked up in incidental surveillance. Nunes then scoots back to consult with Paul Ryan, then heads back to the White House to tell Trump. Trump must have already known this because if he didn't those employees would be gone by now. How does running this bit of information through a dairy farmer make it more legitimate? And "incidental" doesn't mean innocent. Someone might be asking how much loot to send to Trump's Cayman Island account this week. It makes no sense to me.

(49,053 posts)tweeted out a fundraising letter moments after Nunes' press conference. What I want to know is, who was the reporter who fed Donnie the question about whether he felt vindicated? I still think that was the #1 purpose of the whole fiasco.
