Are Republicans getting ready to dump Trump.
Trump is threatening to cooperate with Democrats one day takes it back the next day and is increasingly frantic. Trump is not the only one increasingly incoherent. Have Republicans decided the wild man needs to go and get on the right side of history with a replacement?
I make no claims for Republican ethics but who would want this disaster to continue?

1. I think they'd much rather have Pence
Pence will be just as bad, if not worse given his phobia about women. He's also up to his neck in what's been going on in the White House, so he might be as vulnerable as another disgraced VP in our history was.

3. Since Manafort guided Pence into position, there is a good chance
that Pence will be wrapped up with all of Trump cohorts and removed.

2. The GOPers are kind of stuck between the proverbial rock and the hard place,
or between Scylla and Charybdis, or whatever. Some of them, at least, would probably back away from him if it weren't for the fact that he is still popular in some districts. All House members have to run for re-election in 2018, and if they dump Trump they will have to explain it to the deplorables in their districts who, apparently, still believe that President Toot Toot's Russian entanglements are just fake news. Senators, especially those who don't have to run for re-election for awhile, are probably more likely to jump ship. A few, like McCain, Graham and Collins, seem to be heading for the lifeboats already.

4. Don't forget, the Russians would have hacked the RNC and various Repub honchos.
They also probably have developed a bunch of Kompromat on a lot of the GOP.
They did not release any GOP dirt, which they must certainly have, so they must be holding it over the heads of the GOP. My guess is that blackmail is keeping the GOP in line as much as fear of the Trumpster base. |

6. I did not consider that it sounds very possible.
At this time time it appears to me Republicans may have figured out Trump is a drag. He is a terrible salesman.
