Was Nunes involved in espionage?
Who told him to gather secret information? Why did he switch cars after he disappeared? Who has he shared this information with? Just how many laws did he break?
What makes him think he is secret agent man?

3. He can't even make the excuse that he was gathering info for his committee,
since he refused to share or disclose any of it with them.

4. I'd say the blokes who handed the info to him are in trouble.

Look at Cohen-Watnick's background. Cohen-Watnick is a 30 year old Mike Flynn protege from the Defense Intelligence Agency who was brought in by Flynn to serve as the NSC's senior director for intelligence programs. H.R. McMaster tried to remove Cohen-Watnick after McMaster replaced Flynn as National Security Advisor. In that goal, McMaster apparently had the strong support of Mike Pompeo, the Director of Central Intelligence. But Cohen-Watnick appealed his ouster to Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner. Bannon and Kushner went to Trump and Trump decided that Cohen-Watnick should stay in his position, which he did. 5. He claims he was pursuing his investigations of the leaks wherever it led
which is highly ironic since a number of the "leaks' seem to have come from Trump WH staffers

9. No
He had clearance for the classified info he viewed, and the NSC staff who showed it to him also had clearance. Nunes didn't disclose any of that info to the public. He's a political operative in the tank for Trump, but he's not guilty of espionage.

10. He disclosed that there was surveillance to the public.
Forget that we know surveillance occurs all the time. Nunes went further and said it pertained to Dolt45's bogus wire-tapping claim. The argument can be made that this was at best an improper release of classified information to the public at large.
I don't recall specifics but agencies have tried to use this line against leakers in the past: that simply disclosing the broad outlines of an operation is improper.
TECT in the name of the Representative approves of this post.
|
