Think about the dystopian scenarios of the government buying our internet histories

and having a super computer compile them into a database according to subject and then using those search trends to run preliminary profiles of potential undocumented immigrants, drug offenders, critics of the administration; or even excessively prosecute dissenters for minor infractions like pirating (perhaps even streaming pirated content) or accidentally viewing pornography where the subjects are underaged (but not in a way that's identifiable), locking political opponents and protest organizers up for innocuous infractions. Local authorities would receive "hit lists" for their counties, free of charge from the fed.

I think in the next few weeks there are going to be some folks rethinking their votes on this. If they think they are safe because they passed the bill, they got another thing coming. Their data will also be available to the highest bidders.

But I still think that the data will go to the highest bidder regardless.

This would be the ultimate tool Trump would use to dispatch his enemies and to purge the country of undesirables.

Share the data.

I'm worried that Trump will eventually find out what the NSA is.
