She left the Obama admin in 2015. Spice boy is trying to tie her into the debunked "Obama wiretapped me in 2016 before the election" tweet trump sent out.

4. Ex-Obama official was concerned about Russian meddling 'cover-up' after the election

A former Defense Department official said Thursday that she was afraid of a cover-up about Russian interference during the U.S. presidential election.

Evelyn Farkas, former deputy assistant secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia, said post-election she urged colleagues to get all the information they could before former President Barack Obama left office.

"We were having a transition of power from the Obama administration to the Trump administration. If indeed there was an investigation ongoing if indeed there was information the Obama administration had about Russian interference and possible American involvement, I wanted to make sure Congress knew about it," she said on "Squawk Box."

"I was afraid of a cover-up," she added.

"I had a fear that somehow that information would disappear with the senior (Obama) people who left, so it would be hidden away in the bureaucracy," she told MSNBC.

7. The latest attempt to validate Trumps wiretapping claim? An Obama official who left in 2015.

More at the link, including video of an appearance by Farkas on Morning Joe, being interviewed by Mika.

I'm certain that appearance is why Farkas came to the attention of Dolt45 and his cohorts. They certainly would not have read about her.

The latest attempt to validate Trump’s wiretapping claim? An Obama official who left in 2015.

This week, a new and unlikely hero: Evelyn Farkas.

Farkas is a former deputy assistant secretary of defense for Russia/Ukraine/Eurasia who served in that role from 2012 until she resigned at the end of October 2015. On March 2, she appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” discussing a New York Times article about how the Obama administration had tried to ensure that evidence of Russia’s involvement in the election would not be lost under Trump.

It’s critical to remember here, though, that Farkas wasn’t a part of the administration. She’s someone who had access to information about Russia while she worked for the Defense Department, but she left that role before Trump won a single vote in a single primary. She certainly still knew people within the administration, and she mentions them. But the only thing she attributes to people who still worked for the administration is that they were “trying to also help get information to the Hill” — precisely what the Times story said.
