Whoa Nellie, Bill-o. Five sexual harassment settlements, two of them since Ailes left.

The New York Times:

For nearly two decades, Bill O’Reilly has been Fox News’s top asset, building the No. 1 program in cable news for a network that has pulled in billions of dollars in revenues for its parent company, 21st Century Fox.

Behind the scenes, the company has repeatedly stood by Mr. O’Reilly as he faced a series of allegations of sexual harassment or other inappropriate behavior.

An investigation by The New York Times has found a total of five women who have received payouts from either Mr. O’Reilly or the company in exchange for agreeing to not pursue litigation or speak about their accusations against him. The agreements totaled about $13 million.

The women who made allegations against Mr. O’Reilly either worked for him or appeared on his show. They have complained about a wide range of behavior, including verbal abuse, lewd comments, unwanted advances and phone calls in which it sounded as if Mr. O’Reilly was masturbating, according to documents and interviews.

I mean, for Pete's sake. the republican track record on ethics, morality, honesty, loyalty, nobility - is for total shits. Pathetic.

I would not want any of my kids growing up trying to act like Donald Trump or Bill O'Reilly or any of the other cads, wankers, crooks and traitors who constitute the republican "family-values" role model Hit Parade.

toxic mix of misuse of religion ("I am saved, so can do what I want&quot , use of religion as a weapon ("I will say this to corral the sheeple, but know it is bullshit&quot - and garden variety stupidity and/or ignorance.

Instead of misogyny and sexual assault, this editorial would be a front page headline long ago. With a lot more than five responses.

How many times have I had to make this point over the years? 😓

I wonder if someone could calculate the total amount paid out by fox to settle these types of lawsuits for all their employees, over the years.

I am betting it would be a very large number.

O'LOOFAH is the stereotypical 1950s White male - repressed and oppressive, at the minimum verbally and emotionally abusive, at the maximum physically abusive, bursting with DENIAL above all and hypocrisy and resentment, starved for approval and attention, vicious bully, adolescent/immature sexual pervert (at his age).

He and the Faux Propaganda Network are in a devil's pact over cash, with only two solutions: Either he tanks in profits for them or he becomes a sexual cipher.

It is gobsmacking that he casts himself as a moral arbiter over everybody else (except his sick peers). He should be in isolation, doing nothing else but facing his own large problems.

Andrea Mackris stated that back in 2003 and 2004 Bill O used to call her up
and play w/himself as he had a "buzz toy" up his butt.

Good old Bill O'Reilly just looking out for the folks.

From the article;

“21st Century Fox takes matters of workplace behavior very seriously,” the statement said. “Notwithstanding the fact that no current or former Fox News employee ever took advantage of the 21st Century Fox hotline to raise a concern about Bill O’Reilly, even anonymously, we have looked into these matters over the last few months and discussed them with Mr. O’Reilly. While he denies the merits of these claims, Mr. O’Reilly has resolved those he regarded as his personal responsibility. Mr. O’Reilly is fully committed to supporting our efforts to improve the environment for all our employees at Fox News.”

BULLSHIT. If they took it seriously he would be GONE. $13 million. What the fuck kind of business model allows a serial predator to stay on as a liability costing them $13 million? Oh, I know.....every corporation headed by a bunch of assholes looking out for the almighty dollar. Women's integrity and safety do not even factor for them. Disgusting. I long for the day when Fox News is in the review mirror of this country.
