If Trump gets away with this

And pardons his sycophants in the process, will the American people revolt? Will we take to the streets? Can the will of the people overcome the archaic processes in place that could conceivably allow the Commander in Chief to retain his office by simply playing his cards right?

I know we point to the mid-terms and find some comfort in the idea that we may prevail, but if Trump is able to avoid consequence for his so-called alleged crimes, it would be a bitter and hollow victory, to say the least.

I guess I won't be content until I see with my own two eyes Trump being led away to prison, stripped of every penny to his name, with Pence, Manafort, Bannon, Kushner, Nunes, Ryan, McConnell, Stone, Page, Guiliani, Uday and Qusay frogwalking right behind him.

Most likely is no. And I do not think trump will get away with all of this. But I do think that he will manage, with the help of the media, to bury most of what's happened. So he will never ever see the inside of a jail cell. I hope I'm wrong, but judging by history, I don't think I am.

stopped as do we all or almost all that are here. I truly believe it will come to pass. I met trump several years ago briefly while in NYC and believe me yes, he would resign if he has to. He might
talk a good game but that's all it is to him a game. When his butts on the line he will run.

10. I have a perhaps unbased faith that the Idea will prevail.

I love the Idea of America. It slowly, inexorably pushes all its varied, squabbling Citizens toward justice. Long arc. Slow. But I believe in this, if I believe in anything.

They would have to murder every decent person in this country. Their plans to control and loot and convert are all based on the misperception that good-hearted smart people are weak, that they can be overwhelmed and forced to submit.

But the Idea. Requires. Us.
