I wish I had optimism on this , but I'm setting in for the long haul with this turd. I just don't see enough movement among repugs to think its happening soon, if at all.

I mean at this point we still only really have a few that openly criticize him and even when you look at those people like McCain and Graham you still don't see many of them using the real power they could wield by voting against things he wants.

The whole issue with his tax returns and continued evasion is a good example. Republicans get hammered by boos at town halls near every weekend - and often say they agree he should show his returns. Then when the vote is up to force him all we hear are crickets. Still only one R congressman is voting in favor of the motion.

What an absolute, brain-dead, authoritarian travesty the trump administration is. After he and his thugs are gone, it will take generations for this nation to cleanse itself.

the investigation into Russian involvement in the 2016 election could take just as long or longer.

That being said, if a bombshell revelation came out that was verifiable could hasten events.

The break-in was in June, 1972.

The senate Watergate hearings began in May, 1973.

The Saturday Night Massacre was October 20, 1973. The following week was the first time the House of Representatives talked impeachment.

Bills of impeachment were approved in July, 1974.

Nixon resigned the next month when the damning smoking gun tape was released and he lost all GOP support.

Is that the FBI is saying it's "early" in their investigation. In the meantime, this compromised administration is doing things behind the scenes to circumvent the balance of powers and consolidate power.

They have to organize rallies for this guy for him to do the job.

They send puppets to speeches to applause line clap for him.

He's the biggest joke President I've ever seen. At some point, all the anger and disappointment is going to take its toll and he'll just quit. Or he'll stay all the time in Florida and not even do the job. Which is kind of what he is doing already.

When GWB says 'that was some weird shit', you know we're fucked.

That way, the remaining one year and 364 days don't count as a Pence term. He can legally run for Prez twice, giving him a 10-year presidency.

If Pence gets the presidency earlier, then this term counts as one of his two terms.

I think that's how it works.

If they actually force him to resign, or if we retake Congress, they might get rid of him later, so they keep Pence as long as possible.

We have to implicate Pence, and get rid of him, too.

If humanity survives, I will be grateful.
