I wish I had optimism on this , but I'm setting in for the long haul with this turd. I just don't see enough movement among repugs to think its happening soon, if at all.
I mean at this point we still only really have a few that openly criticize him and even when you look at those people like McCain and Graham you still don't see many of them using the real power they could wield by voting against things he wants.
The whole issue with his tax returns and continued evasion is a good example. Republicans get hammered by boos at town halls near every weekend - and often say they agree he should show his returns. Then when the vote is up to force him all we hear are crickets. Still only one R congressman is voting in favor of the motion.

(1,685 posts)They have to organize rallies for this guy for him to do the job.
They send puppets to speeches to applause line clap for him.
He's the biggest joke President I've ever seen. At some point, all the anger and disappointment is going to take its toll and he'll just quit. Or he'll stay all the time in Florida and not even do the job. Which is kind of what he is doing already.
When GWB says 'that was some weird shit', you know we're fucked.

(24,681 posts)That way, the remaining one year and 364 days don't count as a Pence term. He can legally run for Prez twice, giving him a 10-year presidency.
If Pence gets the presidency earlier, then this term counts as one of his two terms.
I think that's how it works.

(32,988 posts)If they actually force him to resign, or if we retake Congress, they might get rid of him later, so they keep Pence as long as possible.
We have to implicate Pence, and get rid of him, too.
If humanity survives, I will be grateful.
