(35,454 posts)There neverending need to buy a pack of the other to use up what you already have.
It's a never ending circle. Buy buns. Buy hot dogs. Crap, need buns. Out of hot dogs now. Need to buy dogs to use up buns. On, and on, and on...

(754 posts)But I've heard that 10 of his sized hot dogs do indeed fit in 8 buns. By stating that I do not intend to imply that dear leader is into anal sex.

(98 posts)Standard pack of dogs contain eight, standard bag of buns, also eight.

(10,039 posts)Standard pack of dogs is 10, rolls is 8 or 12.

(98 posts)Here in Philly both Dietz and Watson and Hatfield do. Again, I have no reason to lie about this. I'd drop a photo from my phone but you can't do that here.

The evidence is the ones that didn't make it seen run over on the road, or rotting in ditches.
I'm sure you have spotted a dead sock out there somewhere...sad end to a spirited dream of life in the land of free socks (likely a myth they have heard while we wear them. Perhaps they communicate with other socks unbeknownst to us???)

(71,534 posts)Cut the buns in half. Brush melted garlic butter over the surface, then sprinkle a pinch of pizza seasoning on them. Broil in the oven until golden-brown.
Delicious!
Butter the buns, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, broil.

(39,508 posts)I purchase 10 packages of buns and eight packages of 'dogs' at a time. Some fucking egghead tried to tell me a cheaper way of doing it, but I refuse to listen to him, "Don't complicate it".

(150,503 posts)Cut them into coins about 1/4" thick and you'll have a dog in every bite. Yum!
It's a guilty pleasure around my house. Good old Kraft Mac'n'Cheese in the blue box, but with a handful of grated cheddar tossed in during the mixing and some onions sauteed in butter with the hot dog coins.
I also make scratch Mac and Cheese, but sometimes it's the blue box for me.

(34,630 posts)But, I got distracted. Hence the delete. I don't think I would ever have thought of adding the onions to it, but that sounds terrific! A bit of tomato paste might also be a nice addition.

irisblue
(36,676 posts)You can place the bun down on your plate & your fillings don't fall out. And you can fill a top load bun w/ fried clams & tarter or cocktail sauce.
Hojos in the 1940s got a Maine baker to make them for their clam roll.

Even our cat manages to devour an entire chicken leg, bone and all with no assistance. Raw of course. Cooked poultry bones can choke them.
Have a nice day.
