I can't IMAGINE why Trump won the Republican nomination decisively in the first place.

After all, the Tea Partiers were obviously motivated by "small government" and "fiscal responsibility", and in no way spent the last eight years freaking the fuck out about the Black "Muslim" Man in the White House who "wasn't even born here", along with white demographic decline and anger at black and brown people gaining political power in general.

( Not at all, obviously. )

who is notorious for importing cheap labor would get them better jobs.

Right

The election was simple, one side wanted progress to continue, the other wanted to punish us for electing Obama.

The other wanted a president who endorsed their racism. Didnt hurt that the KGB was helping them.

Didn't support Trump until the general election. It's difficult to know without an investigation how coordinated the attacks were in these primary states.

At this point it's clear why our enemies would want Trump to be president. He's more of a buffoon with each passing day.

I don't think Trump started out as the most popular.
Voters didn't want establishment types...they went away.
They wanted an outsider..it was Cruz, Carson, Carly and Trump
Then it was between Cruz and Trump. Primary voters decided they preferred Trump over Cruz.

Along with the rubio hack attempts. The stuff with cruz, the fake bernie sites, etc. Those dipshit/russian trolls were in place early. It will be interesting to see who all was involved early on in his campaign.

In a sane world the race should have been Hillary v Bush but nobody on the GOPuke side really wanted to go up against her. It was a common belief that she was the odds on favorite to win so why sign up to be the sacrificial lamb? Towards the end it came down to Donny and a couple of reich wing senators.

As bizarre as he is Donny is probably better suited to be President than Cruz. The bar is really low on the right wing side of the crowd.

If Bernie had been our candidate it probably would have been a race between him and Jeb or Romney or someone else who could know what a "blind trust" really means.

Just my opinion, of course. I may be wrong. We'll never know.

If the convention votes had been allocated proportionally, I think the nomination might have gone to someone else.
