If the judiciary stayed the way it is, and Trump "opened up the libel laws"

Don't you think he'd be in a prison jumpsuit before lunch? I think it'd be funny if he got such a reality check.

1. This is another sign that Trump wants to be royalty, protected from criticism by law...

He will argue that any and all criticism hurts his "brand" and therefore causes him monetary losses (all in his head, of course).

And with his legal sharks he can make life miserable for a LOT of people who speak or write their minds. He's done it before.

But then if we were all to adhere to the maxim, "If you can't say something nice about somebody, don't say anything", nobody would be discussing Trump any more.

Good times.

2. You mean the Mad Tweeter would get himself into trouble?

Yes, I've thought of his libel laws comment on several occasions these past months. No doubt he would find himself in hot water very quickly. Lucky for him no one with common sense wants to burden the courts with frivolous lawsuits.
