It also appears the admins feel the same way. My hides are from Sanders posts. I have accepted it and am ok with it. I do like the more civil du we have been seeing. That and I have a feeling I will have no choice but to be supporting him for President in the next cycle. Trying to wrap my brain around that one.

Just an organized contingent that operates at certain times.

It's sad that the civil DU seems to be taking a hit in the past couple of weeks, as these "thanks be to Bernie" posts have been accumulating and all criticism is silenced.

You have a choice, the unnecessary potshots at the party and the embrace of Trump voters, while excusing the reasons they went against their own best interests and voted for him is not something that is resonating well with liberals, progressives and Democrats. We've got a whole host of people who are doing good work whom you'll be far more likely to be supporting in 2020.

And even you think it's going to be silenced. It's early , the folks who do the silencing have not reported in yet.

I just think the pattern of late says it will be. I think I should be able to say what I want about him. We clearly can't.

I simply don't want people getting hides for something that adds so little.

I think hides should be reserved for people deliberately attacking Dems, not actual criticism, like disagreeing with what they're saying. The reason we cannot is that there is a contingent that seeks to silence.

I think the post is an expression of the frustration of those who are tired of these separate standards, which don't reflect the majority's views. People are hearing what's being said and are not happy about it, even those who count themselves as supporters. It's a reaction to the sudden toxic environment here that has erupted in the past two weeks.

an independent in the middle between Democratic and Republican would be a cause for concern. Bernie, however, is more progressive than many Democrats and that's why so many of us value his hard work on the issues that matter.

Don't bash Democratic public figures
Do not post disrespectful nicknames, insults, or highly inflammatory attacks against any Democratic public figures. Do not post anything that could be construed as bashing, trashing, undermining, or depressing turnout for any Democratic general election candidate, and do not compare any Democratic general election candidate unfavorably to their general election opponent(s).
Why we have this rule: Our forum members support and admire a wide variety of Democratic politicians and public figures. Constructive criticism is always welcome, but our members don't expect to see Democrats viciously denigrated on this website. This rule also applies to Independents who align themselves with Democrats (eg: Bernie Sanders).
