How is success determined, Trump?

(CNN)In its second major display of military might in one week, the US dropped its most powerful non-nuclear bomb on ISIS positions in a remote part of Afghanistan.

Afghan officials said 36 militants were killed in the strike in Nangarhar province, near the Pakistan border. The US military previously estimated ISIS had 600 to 800 fighters operating in the area.

I am no genius or military expert, but Trump is going to tell me that we used the biggest non-nuke bomb we had to date to kill 36 ISIS fighters at what cost? How many millions of dollars? In exchange for how many more enemies?

I believe he proved otherwise in Syria today by killing approximately 18 of those were trying to help for less, much less the financial price of the mother of all bombs display--by ACCIDENT!

He's a true narcissist. He's perfect and he's the best. If he fails it's not because of 'him', it's someone or something else's fault. He simply doesn't have the same moral or ethical compass the majority of us have, his is flat out broken.

'If' you ever hear him accept personal 'fault' for anything (which I'd be surprised about), there's something HUGE for him to gain and he's just 'saying the words' to get what he wants.

Gads but this man, his cabal and his extreme RW BS buying 'zombies' disgust and anger me. We must vote them out of power and back under the rock that they oozed out from under.

You got that right! What a POS, he is.

I am not fixated on the number of bodies killed (as another member suggested...(it's just one talking point) but it just flies in the faces of so many when this Schmuck is obviously not capable of any cohesive plan or message...other than creating chaos and pumping his bravado. And neither he nor the commanding General is taking credit for authorizing the strike.

I am very happy to hear there was no collateral damage reported. Congress needs to act and his provocations need to stop.

He doesn't give a flying fuck what it costs as long as it makes him look 'strong'. He doesn't care who he kills either.
Groper Don the Con is unable to separate 'TV' from reality. Remember though as it goes horribly wrong he will blame the said generals.

In the reports I read of the ISIS strike the body count was not emphasized or given. The issue or "success" is not by body count. That was the syndrome in Vietnam when the daily press reports were filled with enemy body counts and yet there was little or no progress.

The purpose of the ISIS strike was to destroy a tunnel system they used. That is why a MOAB was chosen because of its demolition capabilities.

It was not and is not about the body count, though that is a convenient thing to latch onto.
