With regard to the current, immediate situation, we can only be observers.

Events that may occur in the next very short period of time are no longer in the control of any of us. We are completely unable to alter any decisions that may be made in several places on this planet.

Here's the saddest part of that situation: We could have prevented this, but we did not. We made a grievous error this past November, in some sort of fit of pique, and we are now facing the possible consequences of that. Even if nothing disastrous happens in the next few days, we will face similar situations again, no doubt.

I am very apprehensive, I must say, on this Friday afternoon. Good luck to us all.

Not a lot, but enough in three states to swing the election to the Republicans. Those voters were the minority that actually ended up making the decision for the rest of us. Fewer than 100,000 voters, as a matter of fact.

I was a big supporter of Bernie and not particularly happy with Hillary, but I still voted for her because I knew what the alternative was.
