He should never have an animal.
I read the article, but Trump will never learn to love anyone more than he loves himself. Not even the so-called calming duo of Ivanred. (Ivanka/Jared)

I once had a friend who was a fraction of the narcissist Trump is. His mother got him a kitten. It was his treatment of that cat that made me realize we were not going to make it for the long haul. Nothing about the pet experience works with a person who is incapable of thinking of anyone but himself. At least with human friends and the narcissist, the humans can get what they need met from other people in their lives and their own autonomy, and make a decision whether to remain friends with the narcissist. Pets have no such options. I would have stolen that cat from him if I had had the ability to take it myself. It very quickly went back to the shelter and I hope found a nice home, it was a really cute calico.
Needless to say, I have strong feelings about that episode. Up until that time I had never met anyone who was incapable due to personality of caring for an animal.
