I have a love hate relationship with the place.

Love the place for so many online freinds I've made and so grateful to the admins for that. For twelve years I have been logging in to this place every single morning. My first read. I am grateful for that and love my friends.

On the other hand i have had my heartbern with the place. well let me just leave my at that.

Love the news here and have appreciated the community most of the time. Sometimes I see stuff on here that pisses me off to the point I have to walk away, and that is the reality. I don't agree with my husband 100% of the time either--and I chose to marry him...

I'm left. I'm seriously SO far left that there are times I'm barely in the ballpark with some of this crowd. Bums me out, but Liberal is kind of a dirty word in every circle, not just here. I don't take it personally, and most of the time I take a break for a few days or else hide the offending thread. DU has always had spats and fights (sometimes even WARS, cough cough, Greens) and I do hope that continues. Lockstep is for the GOP and for film Nazis.
