Ironically, because the thread blatantly violates TOS and survived a jury

Do not smear, insult, vilify, bait, maliciously caricature, or give disrespectful nicknames to any groups of people that are part of the Democratic coalition, or that hold viewpoints commonly held by Democrats, or that support particular Democratic public figures. Do not imply that they are fake Democrats, fake progressives, conservatives, right-wingers, Republicans, or the like.

that there seems to be a lot of Democrat blaming going on today, more than usual.

I wonder what people are reading on Farcebook, now the main portal for fake news. Or even Twitter.

Oh, no I don't. I'm just trashing them, too.

Enough.

ONLY liberals/Democrats do today. Do and always have done.

Those were never strong points of even moderate Republicans, and we know today's extremist-driven Republicans completely reject both.

The far left also is mostly incapable of insight into self, can only criticize mainstream liberals and Democrats. But there's nothing new about that -- lack of ability to halt hostilities while they turn a cool, analytical gaze on their own behavior is one of the defining characteristics of both the far left and far right.

And none of this is trashing, just basic truths.

and I see no evidence of constructive criticism of positions or policies and never have.

It would be refreshing to see some complaints about Republican dirty tricks, corrupt media, and the massive effort by a foreign power to derail our election. I doubt that will ever happen. So

Bye.

They haven't quit doing what they've been doing. The election was over last November but there are other elections that the Russians still want to affect...

They're still posting propaganda on FB and other forums, they're still pitting Dems against Dems. They're here, they're everywhere and you may want to start challenging the things they say/post!

I've also noticed that, now that it's been confirmed that Russian trolls have been posting in US political forums for years (I think they were posting here on DU during the 2008 primaries and may have used the PUMA to keep static going) it is so very hard to tell the ignorant right-wing nut jobs from the Russian trolls - both groups say the same types of crazy $hit!

This is DU and we follow the terms of service.

Democratic Underground is an online community for friendly, politically liberal people who understand the importance of working together to elect more Democrats and fewer Republicans to all levels of American government. Constructive criticism of Democratic politicians, party officials, and public figures is welcome and encouraged, but we expect our members to follow our forum rules and participate in a manner which promotes a positive atmosphere.

But out of most the people still whining about this Bernie vs Hillary thing it's mostly the centrists still bitching about bernie. I see it everyday here. I don't need to follow every step you do to consider myself a democrat. There are even some issues I'm far right on but I would never vote for a third party or a republican. when its time I fall in line just like most lefties. Yet I still feel like the enemy here and DU and it has been like this as long as I can remember and I have been here off and on since it started. Do you know how many times i saw people call lefties idiots last night. A lot of people here are just as bad as republicans calling people names just because they dont agree with you. This site is far from immune to 5th grade debaters. I just roll my eyes but the bickering turns a lot of potential voters off

I dont have a dog in this fight. Im telling you what it looks like from outside of the box you all have stuffed yourself in with this Hillary vs Bernie thing. Im just here to take down the republican agenda. I dont care what politician it takes to do it. If you all don't want my help then I will do it on my own. Saying things like you would be more comfortable elsewhere when I have voted for nothing but dems for 20 years is mind blowing. You all are blowing this shit. Enjoy trying to get people federally elected without the left's help because as much as the centrists bitch about the left they wouldn't be anywhere without that voting block. lefties keep reluctantly stepping in line and still get raked over the coals

I'm as loyal as can be but I sure the hell don't agree with every single thing the democratic party says or does. Ive been debating republicans since before W. I have earned my right to have a different opinion every once in awhile. It's like a lot of you want me to read from a script you wrote. That's just not how life works and probably why democratic party isn't working at the moment. It's the big tent party but as soon as you step under the tent you have to sign a terms of service. If we can't discuss things we might see wrong with our party in a safe place like this then what's the point of this site? progress involves change and debate and if the rules say don't ever change or debate then this party is as archaic and stale as the republicans

And you gotta admit that has been happening here a lot. I see a lot of lefties getting bashed just for having a different opinion. This whole thing is a inside family fight and really doesn't effect republican voting in anyway so why not debate it here? If anything its just debate practice to use against the real enemy

I guess it's better to attack the Democratic Party base than to even mention the problems right wingers have made in this country since before WW2.

It would be nice if that OP came clean.

.

I've alienated a few, because I address the Democratic Party more along the lines of someone with access to peer reviewed research material and political science history. Many don't like my comments because I challenge what they want to hear, other times, I just post snark or flippant replies that get misconstrued. Nuance is a gentle area, and some have it and some do not.

Fear not. I did not open that OP either. While introspection is needed in everything we do, as a species that hopes to evolve and grow, there are others who are happy where they are and challenge that premise. I assume that this introspection link will just be another attack on introspection. Please advise if my assumption is wrong.
