Sources linked to the intelligence community say that General Mike Flynn’s trips to Cambridge and across Europe will form a key part of Donald Trump’s impeachment and the prosecutions of dozens of his associates.

According to several sources within the intelligence community, Michael Flynn was co-ordinating, with and for Russian agents, the drafting of messages that Vladimir Putin was using to attack democracy in not only the United States, but across Europe. Furthermore, Flynn was doing this with the full knowledge of the Trump campaign, including Donald Trump himself.

This news directly relates to the data laundering performed by the Alfa Bank server on behalf of Donald Trump and Russia, where, as I reported, the Trump campaign colluded with the hacking of both the DNC and state voter databases.

The Alfa Bank server ‘washed’ that data together to tell Trump where to target it, sources say. But the messages and content with which targets were served was co-ordinated with Russia by General Flynn.

But I do believe much of what she's been writing lately. Especially knowing how much foreign intelligence was out there before the FBI was investigating, i'm thinking she does have her own Deep Throat connection.

I read "several" IC sources as at least 3. There is an impetus to let this festering boil erupt. Who's got the political will to bring down Washington like it's never been brought down before?

Comey may well be the most important man in DC today. Since few of us believe he is more ally than foe, it's a lot to ask for us to think he'll step up and bring the hammer of justice down.

I don't doubt the accuracy of most of what Mensch is reporting. I simply fear an impasse in decimating our federal government for reasons of ungodly corruption and graft.

That hypothesis does not explain the regularity and time of communications. I suspect money transfers.

They say it fits with the theory that servers at either end had election databases (for the purposes of targeting people with propaganda), and the databases were getting updates.

I get that Alph bank is sitting over there in Russia, or Ukraine, or where ever...
so it sends money transfers to a server in Trump Tower, and that server sends it.....where?
It's digital currency, it has to end up somewhere, at some point.

16. Trump's secret server, until detected by the DNC hack investigation anyway, isn't in Trump Tower.

It is somewhere in Pennsylvania, but the company owning the domain is trump's and that address is in Trump Tower.

The DNC hack inquiry led to discovery of the DNS look-ups, public information. Alfa Bank in Russia communicated with a US server, which turned out to be registered as a trump email server. That IP communicates with Alfa Bank and a DeVos family business server, Spectrum Health controlled by Trump Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos and her husband. It may have masked a secret connection to Eric Prince, Betsy's brother. The Russian server connected to trump's about once per hour for four months.

Slate Contributing editor Franklin Foer reported at the end of October that Trump Tower’s Alfa Bank server was inadvertently discovered by a group of computer scientists who had banded together to help protect the American political system’s computer networks from potentially disruptive malware. The formation of the group was spurred by reports that Russian hackers had infiltrated Democratic National Committee computer servers in the spring of 2016. The scientists surmised that if the Russian hackers could break into the DNC’s system, they could also break into other political systems, including the Clinton and Trump campaigns’ servers.

In late July, one of the scientists discovered what identified as malware emanating from Russia. The destination domain name contained the word “Trump.” The scientist enlisted five of his allies to study the irregular contacts, or “pingings,’ between a bank in Russia and the Trump Organization server in Trump Tower. In time, they realized the pinging wasn’t malware. It instead seemed to represent patterns of human conversation that had been occurring for a sustained period of time. In studying the communication between the Russian bank and the Trump Organization, the scientists had been initially confused by the “odd configuration” of the Trump Organization’s Russian-linked server.

“I’ve never seen a server set up like that,” Franklin Foer quotes Christopher Davis as saying. “It looked weird, and it didn’t pass the sniff test.” Davis is the founder and chief executive officer of HYAS InfoSec, Inc., a cybersecurity firm. In 2013, the Federal Bureau of Investigation gave Davis its Award for Excellence for outstanding cybercrime investigation.

So, the FBI got a warrant for the server's communications and they have 100 agents on the case. We are going to find out at some point. My bets are money was being sent from Russia to Trump's campaign.

Anyone have a theory about why she, alone from all others, has this information?

And if she does, is it a good thing to publish it like she is? Seems to me she's sending red alarms to the protagonists to kill, hide, cover up, escape, etc.

It's just too pat a story.

Also I think all this brings us closer to another wag-the-dog bombardment of some some country.

10. Her explanation is that she was a reporter during the Snowden/Assange/Wikileaks period

and she strongly came out in support of the intelligence community, saying that Snowden was putting at risk the lives of agents in the field. She made contacts during that time that have been reaching out to her now.

I think it's likely that many people in the European IC are appalled at what's happening here and want to help as they can. It is well established that British agents were the first to come forward (to American intelligence) about DT, in 2015.

But I still don't trust the way she's making it all public. I know the people involved probably already know all of this---but making the public know this stuff can change the political calculus. The powers that be get more and more nervous once the story is out.

British Intel people became involved when Jeb Bush hired them to investigate Trump. They were alarmed by what they found and informed governments of Trump campaign collusion with Russia to alter the election. I suspect British Intel is trying to keep the FBI honest by releasing material from their intercepts.

Mensch has also accused numerous people and organizations of being Russian "shills", "moles" and "agents of influence."
