The intellecual dishonesty of "Regret" Trump voters

http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2017/4/21/1654947/-The-intellectual-dishonesty-of-voter-regret-stories

Even though we are less than 100 days in, there seems to be a wave of "I already regret my vote" stories--whether in "mea culpa" form by a prominent conservative or a compilation of anecdotes by mostly red state voters who don't feel like they got what they voted for.

And while this may make the author or voter feel better, there is one major item missing from each of these stories: the lack of rejection of conservatism and right wing ideology. Without that, these stories are less than meaningless. The tripe that is "conservatism cant fail, it can only be failed" makes this no more than "it isn't Republicans, it is just THIS Republican".

The past 35 years have shown us just what conservative and right wing ideology is. Bigotry. Hate. Wealth inequality. Pollution. Sexism. Party over country. Aggression. Gutting voter rights. And that's just off the top of my head.

If you're totally against reaching out to people who accept a conservative ideology, I guess you can say "fuck Bernie" for endorsing a former Goldwater Girl for President, especially one who was supported by that same David Brock who did the right wing's hit job on Anita Hill.

Unless we get a firm commitment that they'll vote Democrat in 2018 and 2020, then they still support Trump, and they can stuff their racist, hateful agenda up their stupid, cowardly asses.

Fuck them. Fuck all of them.

6. The Republican Agenda is Toxic for Our Democracy
Sat Apr 22, 2017, 12:04 AM
Apr 2017

The Republican agenda is solely about redistributing our country's resources upward to the wealthy. In every other area, it is completely toxic: toxic for the environment, the economy, education, human rights, infrastructure and so forth. Their agenda is intellectually dishonest and morally bankrupt. For too long, Republicans have running our country into the ground. Trump, with all of his corruption and dysfunction, shows just how far Republicans are willing to go to get their way. Their agenda is nothing short of a cancer on our democracy. From the beginning of his candidacy, it was abundantly clear exactly who and what Trump was. Mea culpas and regrets for supporting him are merely flimsy excuses and more like exercises in hypocrisy.

a lot but it doesn't explain the greed of, "I don't want my hard earned money going to someone who didn't work for it"

That right there is a character defect

Republicanism is about the top-of-the-heap repugs figuring out lies about how all those no good "others" are taking while their low-info supporters are making.

All his illegal Russia treason doesn't bother them at all.
They still want all the crap that will destroy their lives and dump more of their money into the pockets of the rich.
