How Trump's presidency is on its way to success: by not governing

Trump is already winning the game by delegitimatizing all the other centers of power: media, intelligence community. His final task as budding demagogue is to castrate Congress. Now, this is a more delicate task than the media and the IC. Them he just disparaged and built alternative media and "intelligence" sources. But congress has the power to impeachment, to actually get rid of him.

So how is he going about getting control of the last standing power center and the only one that has the power to actually stop him?

Remember Congress's first action under Trump: it was to get rid of their ethics committees. Obviously they knew what they would need to work with Trump. But Trump said that was not his agenda, so the Republicans hurriedly dropped it. And he has stopped any other legislation they have tried.

Nearly 100 days later we see Trump pulling the rug out from under the Republicans again. While they must pass some thing to keep the government running in only a few days, Trump kills their dealing, just like he killed their healthcare plan. He announces his final demands, that run counter to the proposed legislation,. He demands that they also pass healthcare and tax legislation. Chaos ensues.

Just like Russia and other totalitarian states we will have a congress that is nothing but a rubber stamp for his plans. He needs to have control of all the centers of power to continue his slow rolling coup. He doesn't want Congress to pass any legislation. He needs it totally powerless, so he can manufacture a crisis for which he will assume more totally legal powers.

This crisis will be international because he needs to have the threat of war to bind the citizenry to him.

That's the next 100 days.
