Any father who requires / allows his daughter to be "circumcised" should have his penis removed.

I'll bet if we enacted THAT penalty here in the US, the practice would quickly stop.

To bloody hell with any man who wants to control women's sexuality in any way.

Fucking get with the program: WOMEN ARE PEOPLE!

I know that's a really difficult concept to grasp, but fucking WORK ON IT! FUCKING NOW!!!

How can we not crack down on this child abuse in the US???? My widdle feminist self has been told many times that we can't control the customs of other cultures, and the women do the deed, so that's ok (can't get the blessed men's hands dirty, right?); but this is in the USA, and it must STOP! Parents and their hired butchers must be prosecuted for extreme child abuse.

They can't just be handed back the little kids they cut up. How can that even be rational? Mutilate your little girls with a knife, plead religion, and get them right back.

For women involved: Life in prison with no parole. That's what they gave their daughters, so that's what they get.

Yep. "Culture" would change right quick.

I can't wait to hear the chorus of voices once more falsely equating male circumcision to female genital mutilation.

I've encountered quite a few women who strongly object to male circumcision, but I don't believe that I've ever met one who equated it to female genital mutilation.

Wonder why that is?

problem there is the women are totally brainwashed and may be the ones to carry it out! Sort of like the burial practices people insisted on doing though it spread Ebola. How to get a culture to move forward is the issue.

Although, I'm sure it would be deemed "cruel and unusual punishment" or something.

However, I would be fine with a penalty of life in prison with no parole.

No quarter should be given to bringing that barbaric practice to our shores.

Unlike 2nd-degree murder (which will never be stopped, human nature being what it is), this is not a spontaneous act of passion, therefore, probably more easily quashed by heavy penalties.

Circumcision does not amount to much. Sorry, that's the way it is. I was cut early on, and I never gave it a second thought.

A cliterodectomy is equivalent to lopping off the entire head of the penis.

Female "circumcision" can be any one of a number of procedures, all of them abhorrent.

And yes, I totally agree with you, people who try to equate the two are beneath contempt.
