EPA head Pruitt persuades coal mining lobbyists to deny global warming even more

This is the ridiculous situation in the Trump regime: he's appointed a hardliner climate change denier to head the EPA, and because even Trump's son-in-law and some coal mining companies are willing to accept the science, he spends his time lobbying them to lobby Trump to withdraw from international agreements. Because Trump listens to corporate spokesmen in preference to his cabinet members.

Mining group to support pulling out of Paris after meeting with Pruitt

A coal mining industry group's board of directors voted on Tuesday to press President Donald Trump to withdraw from the Paris climate change agreement — just one day after EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt met with the group's leadership to discuss the accord, two sources told POLITICO.

Pruitt personally attended a meeting of the National Mining Association's executive committee on Monday to lay out his concerns with the Paris accord.
