Coincidence? Joe and Mika MIA From Morning Joe After Nasty On-Air Spat

Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski were absent this morning from the set of Morning Joe, with show mainstay Willie Geist stepping in to host the popular program.

“Joe and Mika have the morning off.” said Geist before swiftly moving on.

Geist offered no indication of a vacation or other explanation for their absence, raising obvious questions about whether it might be related to the nasty on-air spat the two had on Wednesday. During that show, Scarborough offered an unusual on air smackdown to his co-host calling her “rude” and “snotty,” after she questioned a comparison Scarborough (sort of) made between Bobby Kennedy and Ivanka Trump.

“You don’t have to be so snotty. I was about to say, you didn’t let me get it out. You don’t have to be so rude,” Scarborough snapped. “The fact of the matter is that they are not Bobby Kennedy as I was about to say but you wanted to get your cheap shot in so you got your cheap shot in. No I am not saying Jared and Ivanka are Bobby Kennedy.”

Hey girl, why are you "dating" a guy, who verbally abuses and humiliates you in public? Surely you are better than that? If Joe doesn't apologize on the air, you need to rethink your relationship. And even if he does apologize, you still need to rethink your relationship. I'm not saying you should quit your job. Although were I you, I would dust off and spruce up my resume and quietly start beating the bushes for a new gig. Life is way to short to put up with an obnoxious asshole. Don't imagine that he will change, because the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. He just bared his teeth and growled at you in public. How much of that same behavior are you willing to put up with off air in private?

They both just divorced (or in the process of) their spouses. Over the years, I've seen Joe on air get riled up about something and literally bang on the table to make a point. Then Mika literally pats him on the should and tells him to calm down. Oh lord! Who needs a man, who lacks the self control to manage his anger? Ditto for women who can't control anger too. She's a very attractive well-educated woman. She could do so much better in the man department.
