He just telegraphed that he was willing to face a shutdown in September. Right after losing on the CR. This is the worst negotiating tactic I've ever seen, literally. He's showing his cards after he folded. If he wanted to play that card, do it before the CR. He just gave Congressional Democrats 4 months to get their ducks in a row over this. He's playing the bad cop (which is the wrong role for POTUS in this to begin with), after he's already lost.

Rookie shit like this is going to get us all killed.
