We need a 300mph train/mag lift/vacuum tube to replace domestic air travel.

Hourly stops from DC to LA, room for bicycles and wheel chairs, and trains run every 2 hrs or 1hrs during commute hours.

Also use centers of interstates if possible to avoid taking land via eminent domain.

So I must pause before I write this off as will never happen. What is concerning is the drawings seem to show a small claustrophobic seat with no bathroom facilities...

300 mph ain't bad, but it's too slow for coast to coast, that's over 9 hours from NYC to LA, with no stops. And we would need a HUGE network of such trains to effectively replace air routes.

I would like to see a budget version, where you are sedated and shipped in a small box. Amazon could do 2 day Prime delivery for $199/year.

10. The biggest advantage of trains over planes is that trains can be electric.

Planes must burn fuel.

Electric trains don't require fossil fuels or expensive synthetic fuels.
