Drumpf and the GOP are flat out liars when it comes to military personnel. They are always taking care of the MIC and pork politics, not personnel at all times.
When public attention is focused on the families and small-town communities where their "boys and girls" are being sent to the meat grinder and are either not coming back or are coming back permanently damaged.
After there's no blood and sacrifice to make "heroes" for media exploitation, those "heroes" find themselves on their own, and their families left to care for them. Unless, of course, some liberal Congress-critters are on top of maintaining the funding for VA and a slew of rehabilitation and promised benefits programs that military personnel signed up for in lieu of better pay for the risks they were potentially taking or the semi-skilled/skilled labor they were providing for a contracted number of years.
But from what I've seen from this GOP congress, "the American Taxpayer just can't keep supporting soldiers and sailors who were careless".
They're going to have fall in line and to pay their own way through life like all the other disposable poor folk have to do, no matter what the contract says. Saw it during the Bush years, expect it to be a return to Hoover during the Trump years with this current crop of mealy-mouthed Christianist predators.
