After doing a little research, I just found out that the land my home currently sits on was actually a civil war battlefield. As it turns out, there was a ferocious battle a short way up the road (just a little over 1500 miles away) in a small town called Gettysburg! I have a plaque on order now!
Sorry. I couldn't help myself. I'm seeing Drumpfanistas basically trying to claim his little parcel of land was part of the Antietam battlefield.

(144 posts)If I'm not mistaken, the Bowling Green Massacre occurred when a group of undocumented, Muslim soldiers launched a surprise attack on the unsuspecting town of Bowling Green. The casualties were tremendous. Bigger than you can even imagine. Horrible, terrible stuff. Luckily, Andrew Jackson, though many years dead, was able to muster a small ragtag group of equally amazing men to quell the little rebellion. History is amazing amazing stuff.
