They can siphon bales of it off for themselves and insurance companies. Why shouldn't that be on their agenda 24-7.
Nothing the gop likes better than money.

keeps society functioning.
I had an ins agent trying to sell me life ins that told me with life ins I would never die, and he met it.

They think (as Joe Walsh said) that they are actually paying for someone else's medical care or birth control. When, in fact, they are not directly paying for anyone else. They seem not to understand the idea of risk pools and how paying for preventive care actually saves money down the line.
