The results of the midterm elections will decide whether I stay in this country any longer

That'll be the clearest picture of the direction that the country wants to take. If all that is happening cannot motivate people to get to the polls and change things in a positive direction, then this is not a place I want to be any longer. my country left me and I'll find out where I'm supposed to be instead.

after the election?

There was a thread about it, and I remember reading a couple of posts from members who said they were moving if the ultimate nightmare came true.
