They're not mad that he's changed positions because they didn't know what his positions were to begin with. This is all emotional for them. If the Liberals are unhappy then it must be a good thing that he's doing. The fact that minorities are being hurt and frightened makes them happy even if it means they get hurt too.

We're dealing with people who have the mentality of children, of schoolyard bullies. They're ignorant and proud of it and they don't give a fuck if you're feeling any pain. In fact, they get off on it.
